Extraordinary

Room 120

Inventors take ordinary materials and, through creativity and persistence, transform them into extraordinary innovations. Jesus, however, didn’t rely on tools, blueprints, or a workshop to bring about the remarkable. Though He may have appeared ordinary on the surface, His life, His actions, and His love consistently defied expectations. He transformed ordinary people and situations, revealing what an extraordinary God can do.

AI, Humanity, and Faith: Navigating the Future in God’s Image:

Exploring AI through the lens of faith and human dignity.

Pierre Augustamar

Room 108

This course explores the intersection of artificial intelligence, human identity, and faith traditions, asking how technology reshapes our understanding of what it means to live in God’s image. Participants will examine the promises and perils of AI through theological reflection, ethical analysis, and practical case studies. A special focus will be given to Dataism—the emerging worldview that treats data flows as the ultimate source of meaning and authority. We will critically assess how Dataism challenges traditional beliefs about human dignity, free will, and divine purpose, and contrast it with faith‑based perspectives that affirm the sacredness of personhood.

As a guiding text, we will engage with John Lennox’s book 2084: Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Humanity, using his insights to frame discussion and deepen reflection. By engaging both contemporary AI practices and enduring spiritual wisdom, participants will gain tools to navigate the digital age with discernment, hope, and responsibility.
