What to Expect on Sunday Morning
Sunday mornings at Northwest feature a diverse congregation singing a wide-range of Christian music, ASL (11:00 service), Biblical preaching, weekly communion, and prayer. Our homemade scones are served most Sundays from 10:30 – 11:00. Whether you’re searching for faith or need a loving community, you are welcome at Northwest. Here is a snapshot of our morning schedule:
9:30 AM & 11:00 AM – Worship & Teaching
Our gathering lasts about 75 minutes and includes uplifting worship music, Scripture reading, biblically grounded teaching, and weekly communion.
☕️ 10:30 - Coffee & Connection
Grab a cup of fresh coffee and one of our famous homemade scones. It’s a great, low-pressure time to meet people and settle in for worship or class.
📖 11:00 AM Adult & Family Classes
We offer interactive Bible classes for adults, families, and children designed to help you study Scripture and grow in community.
EMPOWERING YOUNG FAITH
A Place for the Next Generation
From their earliest steps to their high school years, we partner with parents to help children and teens discover God’s love, build lasting values, and make lifelong friends.
Children’s Ministry
(Birth – Grade 6)
Kids welcome in worship and exit after communion for lessons coordinated by Tracy Haukaas and a dedicated volunteer team.
Youth Ministry
(Grades 7 - 12)
On Sunday morning, students worship with the congregation and move to the Student Center after communion. On Sunday evenings, from 5:30 – 7:30 PM: games, prayer, and teaching. Led by Pastor Brian Heninger.
MULTICULTURAL FELLOWSHIP
Language & Cultural Services
We are proud to be a diverse family of believers. To ensure everyone can worship and hear God’s Word in the language of their heart, we enjoy partnerships dedicated to providing weekly services and fellowship for our Ethiopian and Filipino communities.
Filipino Service
From 9:30 – 10:30 (upstairs in the Student Center) we enjoy a specific gathering for Filipino friends for worship, teaching, and fellowship…followed by attending the NW Church worship. Service is in both English and Tagalog.
Ethiopian Service
The Word of God Evangelic Church meets Sunday’s at 3:00 PM in Room 108 and provides an Amharic service focused on prayer, worship, preaching, and fellowship. Pastor Mesfin leads this Ethiopian congregation.
