I CORINTHIANS

taught by Stan Granberg

This is a textual study of the book of 1 Corinthians.   This letter continues to be timely for the church today, both to instruct and to inspire. Christians are still powerfully influenced by their cultural environment, and most of the questions and problems that confronted the church at Corinth are still very much with us.
Sundays: September 11 - November 27
9:30 a.m.  in Room 108

THE STORY OF REALITY:
How the world began, how it ends and everything important that happens in between.

taught by  Larry Powell

Our story begins with God. He created everything, but something went terribly wrong. So God initiated a rescue plan and entered the world that he had made by becoming like us in Jesus Christ. Jesus saved us from the wrongness in ourselves and in the world through his death on a cross. And how people respond to what he did will determine what their future will be at the final event of history: the resurrection.
If you are already a Christian, this is your story. Do you know it? If you are not a Christian, this is still your story, because it explains the world in a way that nothing else will. It is a true story—the real story behind every other story we hear.

Sundays: September 11 - November 27
9:30 a.m. - Room 120
This class is offered both in-person and via Zoom.

Psalms of Ascent - Songs for the Journey

Join us in a new study of the Psalms of Ascent. This section of the Bible—Psalm 120-134—is a special group of songs sung by Jewish pilgrims and priests as they approached the Temple. The city of Jerusalem is situated on a high hill, and Jews traveling to Jerusalem for one of the three main annual Jewish festivals traditionally sang these songs on the "ascent" or the uphill road to the city.  In these songs, you'll discover hope, worship, peace, blessing, and unity—all things we desperately need in our lives today. We look forward to this pilgrim journey together. Taught by Care Pastor Bill Lawrence.
