Jesus Gets us. Do We Get Him?
Jesus matters. Heaven touches earth in the story of Jesus. There is a renewed interest in Jesus. The updated story of Jesus is streaming all around us. The TV ads show a 21st-century version of the life and times of Jesus to attract new followers. People are binge-watching the Netflix series Chosen. There are seemingly endless versions of Jesus. Our culture and media can distort our image of Jesus. Christian theologians proclaim that you and I are part of the Fourth Quest to deconstruct the Jesus of scripture. In that spirit, perhaps it is time to take a fresh look at Jesus as his story is told in the first-century gospels. I invite you to join the conversation as we discuss Jesus in his world.

BETTER - LADIES' BIBLE CLASS
Join us in this verse-by-verse study of the Book of Hebrews. Jen Wilkin explores how God “provided something better for us” in the person of Jesus Christ (Heb. 11:40). Through stories of Old Testament heroes and practices, the author of Hebrews demonstrates how the new covenant is superior to the old and how Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of every promise. Explore familiar verses in context of the entire Bible, learning how to place your hope and faith in Christ alone. Available through Lifeway or Amazon

Psalms of Ascent - Songs for the Journey
Join us in a new study of the Psalms of Ascent. This section of the Bible—Psalm 120-134—is a special group of songs sung by Jewish pilgrims and priests as they approached the Temple. The city of Jerusalem is situated on a high hill, and Jews traveling to Jerusalem for one of the three main annual Jewish festivals traditionally sang these songs on the "ascent" or the uphill road to the city. In these songs, you'll discover hope, worship, peace, blessing, and unity—all things we desperately need in our lives today. We look forward to this pilgrim journey together. Taught by Care Pastor Bill Lawrence.
